EDO STRAIGHT DAVID BOWIE by DENIS O'REGAN - GEKKO JINSU

For Spring / Summer 2026, we have collaborated with Denis O'Regan in the latest of our 'Masters of their Craft' series.

Denis O'Regan is considered a master of the lens. He was David Bowie's most prolific photographer and chronicler of rock royalty.

As a tribute to Bowie's enduring connection to Japan and his understated approach to denim, for SS26 we collaborated with Denis O'Regan to create a limited-edition MCU Edo Straight, Gekko Jinsu. Inspired by Bowie's denim worn during the Serious Moonlight Tour in Tokyo, 1983, the jean is a vintage straight-leg replica with a naturally lived-in finish, echoing the effortless ease of Bowie's style while on tour there.

The fabric is a 13oz selvedge denim woven on narrow looms by an expert local mill in Kojima. The Edo fit is a comfortably relaxed jean with a straight leg profile, inspired by 1950s 'anti fits'.
