This design was inspired by the work pants of the 1950s and 1960s, when the high economic growth and suburbanization increased employment in the construction and manufacturing industries, and demand for workwear reached its postwar peak level.
The design just barely gives a sense of rigidity before the 1970s, when they began to be used as a fashion item.
These painted pants are simple, but express the way that the owner has worn them carefully and repeatedly for work.
