Original rayon cupro silk

"Etto" is a high-quality material produced in Fukui Prefecture.
It is a plain weave using filament rayon for the warp and cupro silk for the weft, achieving gloss, supple drape, and comfortable wear.
The pattern is created by resist printing at a hand-printing factory, characterized by a vivid and profound finish. In resist printing, the pattern is printed first, and then the ground color is dyed. At this time, chemicals are used on the printed pattern to prevent the ground color from adhering, making it less susceptible to the ground color than ordinary overprinting and resulting in a vividly colored printed pattern.
There are few factories capable of both hand printing and resist printing, and production efficiency is low, making this a rare and special fabric.
